The Cochran Firm
Practicing since 1996, Angela Mason focuses primarily on complex and mass torts litigation. She pursues claims for people who have been injured or treated unfairly by negligent and irresponsible corporations. Most recently, she has been litigating against pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers who distributed dangerous products in the marketplace, large corporations who denied their employees fair wages, and large corporations who have contaminated people and their properties with dangerous substances.
Licensed to practice law in Alabama, Georgia and Washington, DC, Angela has also been admitted pro hac vice to numerous state and federal courts, including Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia. She has worked with top trial lawyers from around the nation on numerous law suits, including the first Yaz/Yasmin (oral contraceptive) bellwether cases, an environmental class action representing over 5,000 people exposed to dangerous heavy metals, and class actions representing truck drivers who have been wrongly denied compensation to which they are entitled under the law. She has been appointed to the Discovery Teams for Multi-District litigation in the DePuy ASR Hip Litigation in Ohio and the DePuy Pinnacle Hip Litigation in Texas.
Angela does not, however, confine her practice to class actions and complex litigation. She continues to work as lead counsel and on trial teams for individual plaintiffs who have suffered physical or economic injury because of someone else’s negligence or irresponsible conduct.
Angela has been recognized by national organizations for her work as a trial lawyer. She has been honored as one of the “The Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in Alabama for the last five years. During that time, she has also served on the Editorial Boards for The National Trial Lawyers and The Trial Lawyer magazine. She sits on the Executive Committee for the Mass Tort Trial Lawyers Association as well as the Board of Directors for her local bar association in Houston County, Alabama. She has also served on the Editorial Board for the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and the grievance committee for the Houston County Bar Association, where she investigated complaints by clients against their lawyers.
Based out of Dothan, Alabama, Angela serves on the management committees for The Cochran Firm-Dothan, PC, and The Cochran Firm-Hunstville, PC. She is also a managing partner for The Cochran Firm-Huntsville, PC.
