Tom founded Dynamic Safety in 1997. With a degree in mechanical engineering and extensive hands-on experience in automotive systems analysis, diagnosis and repair, he has more than 30 years of experience investigating and reconstructing collisions. During that time, he has disassembled, inspected, tested and analyzed virtually every vehicle system in hundreds of crash vehicles ranging from passenger cars to heavy vehicles to ATVs. He has obtained a Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and double/triple endorsements.
He is also an adjunct faculty instructor at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety where he teaches crash reconstruction courses to police officers and engineers from around the world. He holds a patent for a Safety Vehicular Fuel System and has spoken at numerous conferences to attorneys and other crash reconstructionists. Plus, Tom has written an SAE technical paper and co-authored two chapters in the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety textbook "Traffic Crash Reconstruction."
Tom and his partners at Dynamic Safety LLC routinely investigate and reconstruct truck crashes around the country, employing the latest technology, including 3D laser scanners and UAV’s (drones). Dynamic Safety personnel also are involved in collecting all type of vehicle EDR (Event Data Recorder) data, including from heavy truck engine ECM’s, heavy truck ABS systems, passenger vehicle Airbag Control Modules, GPS units and infotainment systems.
Tom and his partners have testified in many state and federal trials across the country. They also provide training directly to many police agencies. The staff at Dynamic Safety has a unique mix of engineering and law enforcement backgrounds to better serve their clients.
Dynamic Safety is proud of their excellent customer service reputation and they work hard every day to uphold it.
